Christmas wishes

Our "funny dance" has expired and although we wish it could last all year long it didn't so instead of it taking up a bunch of space here I just deleted the pic of it and left a little post in it's place. Merry Christmas 2008!

What to do...

Sophie is such a sweet baby, I love her so dearly. I am at a loss of what to do to help her and am exhausted. The last few weeks it has been getting worse and worse and I just don't know what to do. Some days we can go with just one or two episodes, some days it's the good majority of the day, she just cries and cries, not just like little whimpers, but outright purple in the face screaming. During these 'episodes' she won't eat, won't take a binky, doesn't like her swing, doesn't let me sit down.. so far I don't know what to do to help her! We took her to the doctor yesterday for a general checkup to see if they could see some reason she would be so fussy(i.e. ear infection, throat, uti, etc..) but nothing. They said she looks completely healthy. For the most part, yesterday was a pretty good day though, we only had one bit of fussiness from her and it wasn't the all out screaming, just normal baby fussy that lasted about 10 minutes. Also, two or three days ago she found her thumb, and since then that has been the only thing to console her when she is in these big fits.. and I can't 'help' her find her thumb.. she has to do it. I know thumb sucking is 'frowned upon' by many because it is a bad habit for a child to start, but if for now it will console her and make her feel better then I'm not gonna pull it away from her. So anyway.. I got some pics of her recently with her thumb in her mouth. Kinda cute.. I love her so much, I hope she feels better soon.

I can't upload the pic for some reason... weird!

Dicken's Festival

Here is a pic of all of us at the Dicken's Festival this year. There was a booth doing free pictures so that's why it has all the ads/etc. on it.. But look at that.. all of us in one picture... Not the greatest picture but we are all together in it. :) Merry Christmas!

This is Fun!

Okay.. So yesterday I finished another nursing cover.. It is so fun! I like to sew! I have to confess, I actually had asked my friend Suzie to sew it for me if I would trade her some vinyl.. haha.. So Thank You Suzie.. (shoulda mentioned that in my first 'nursing cover' post...) for tellin me to do it myself.. hehehe.. It really is fun! Suzie is my awesome friend who lives in California and she sews a lot, I didn't have confidence that I could do it and I do now. Thanks! Sometimes we just need to get out of that comfort box and try something new, you never know you might actually enjoy it! Now I'm like "okay.. what can i do next?!?" I think I'm gonna either make some very simple pajama pants or some dress up dresses for the girls.. Something that won't necessarily be seen except by those in my household yet.. haha.. and curtains for mykitchen and living room! Maybe some tote bags for the girls church toys... haha the ideas are endless! I can sew!!!

My second new hobby...

Okay, so about maybe 3 years ago Jon bought me a sewing machine for Christmas.. I have gotten some small use out of it but BARELY used it.. Well I have been wanting a nursing cover to use with sophie and since they sell for around 25-30 normally I don't want to spend that much on it so I got out my sewing machine and sewed one, then another for Jon's sister in Kentucky who is having her first BOY, due in January. (hers in 'Cars' fabric with a matching burp cloth.. hehe ) Just thought I would share.. I'm feeling very "Molly Homemaker" :D.. Enjoy! If there is anyone that wants one let me know.

Pics finally posted... :)

Okay.. so I finally took some pics of some of my vinyl things I've been doing. It's been so much fun, stressful, but fun. My house is finally starting to get back to the way it should be w/o vinyl projects waiting to be finished in every room, still got a little bit to go but it's nice to have time to relax again, and next (if there is a next) will be easier maybe because now I'm starting with some things and not starting with nothing. Anyway.. check out my other blog..
Enjoy.. let me know if you want anything, I'm getting good at it now.. hehe..
Peace!

I survived!

Sooo... the last month I have been preparing to be a 'vendor' at a local boutique. I was soo nervous but excited and got totally wrapped up in it all for the past few days especially trying to get everything together but I survived! It was so much fun to get myself and my stuff out there. (Thank you Shani for inviting me and letting me be a part of your fun night! And.. Mom, you were a lifesaver helping me at times with the vinyl and with the girls and my sanity.. I am very thankful.)
Now today I've got laundry going, the dishwasher running and I can relax for a bit. Jon has a guard this weekend so he's off playing GI Jon... hehe.

Day after..

Me holding Sophie.. We are just loving this weather!
Zoey and Ella playing with our neighbors toy. Y'know it is always more fun when it is someone elses!

Jon up in the tree.. :) he was takin down the ghost.

So the day after halloween.. Nov 1st.. we are out takin down our decorations and I snap a few pics.. Just thought I'd share.. I still regret not takin many on Halloween, even my mom and stepdad dressed up and I didn't get ANY pics of them :( It's horrible!

Halloween 2008

Our Family Pumpkin.. I thought it was so cute, we got several compliments too :) I love my vinyl cutter!
Sophie in the stroller as we walked the neighborhood trick or treating, she was so awake!

Okay, so I SUCK at pictures this year! I always have the best intentions then fail to do it! This is about the only picture of active little Ella that I have, she was 'Pooh Bear' because we had it and I wasn't gonna spend money on costumes this year, was easy and comfy on her anyway :)

Zoey was a 'spider witch'. She wore this costume 2 years ago and it was huge on her then but long, this year it fits cute. She had fun anyway. It was unusually warm this year compared to years past so we didn't do the whole tights and things under it.

Sophie Rae sleepin in her bouncer.... We hung up Halloween stuff today outside.. fun fun! I had pics of Ella and Zoey too but for some reason it kept saying error when i tried to upload. Anywho.. Sophie had her 1 month appointment today and is now 9 lbs 13 oz.. at one month old she is only one ounce bigger than Zoey was when she was born.. haha how crazy is that.

She was mad at the hiccups and makin a mean face, I thought it was cute...

My mom took this one... Idk why it is comin up so small.. I'll get more pics soon now that we are actually home again.

Crisis over...

Well it seems like lately it is one thing after another hitting us, and so we are hoping there won't be more to come! Instead of going into detail with everything I'll just do our most recent, or MY most recent I guess I should say... Well as the last shortie said we had our beautiful baby girl number 3 on Tuesday, Sept 2nd! She is just adorable but I could go on and on about that.. hehe. Well we came home on Wed the 3rd, I was feeling great all but just a sore tummy (duh) from all the contractions/pushing etc. Well here we were, our beginning to a grand adventure and the rest of a life with three girls. We were doing good adjusting and trying to get back into life routine and Sat I started feeling a little yucky, just feverish under the weather a bit but I'm nursing and my milk came in sat so I assumed it would just blow over. (Many women get mild fevers when their milk comes in first few days) Well, Sunday it was worse, I was achy all over, my head hurt, I had a fever, it just flat out hurt to move or do anything. Well Monday we had the baby's first doctor appointment so I called to see if I could get in to see my doctor too, scheduleing was bad so we went to be 'fit in' right after lunch hoping to have enough time to get seen and get the girls to the other office in time. Well... They checked me out and sent me straight to the hospital! "Go directly to hospital, no passing go, no collecting anything!" hehe Well they had a nurse walk us the back way over straight to my room and there I was. They hoooked me up to antibiotic IV right away and said they thought I had an infection in my uterus, which could be fatal if untreated and IV is the only way to get the antibitoics in there right.. Well I HATE hospitals, Idk who loves them.. but I've only been in for delivering babies, nothing else.. Well my mom was out of town until Tuesday night so I was a complete basket case not knowing what to do! Luckily we have a great friend and neighbor that really went the extra mile to help us out and watched the girls and I got to still nurse Baby Sophie as long as there was someone there with her at all times ( I can't be a patient and a caregiver) So Jon and the baby stayed with me as much as they could. Tuesday I had an ultrasound to see if anything was in my uterus and then with the results of that Dr Lunt scheduled me a D&C ( a procedure where they 'clean out' anything left in the uterus..) I was terrified to say the least but after a long few hours of waiting and several breakdown bouts of crying, 4oclock came around, I was put under without even knowing and awoke an hour and half later. It went well, being sucessful in getting out what was making me sick, I had to stay til Thursday to get more IV antibiotics and assure I was ok to go home. Anywho, now we are home, I'm feeling weak but much better. I am anemic and taking measures to build that back up and just keeping my head high or trying to. Now getting to adjust to home life again...

It's a GIRL!!

Well the unexpected happened we had the baby early!! Yesterday around 12:15 my water broke! I didn't know what to do so after a few phone calls off to the hospital we headed. Long story short at 8:47 pm we welcomed our new baby GIRL into the world! She is 7 lbs 12 oz and 20 inches long with a head full of dark hair. All is good and we are now home. Here's a few pics.

Just a little update on life!

Just a little update since it's been a bit. Jon's eye looks soo much better, it's pretty much healed all but a little bruising, thanks to everyone for their concerns! We are still on the job hunt for him, he didn't get the one job in Cedar City that we were hoping for but hopefully something better will arise. It would have been pretty good pay but the commute would have been rough. He had an interview today so we'll see if/where that heads, it isn't a great job but will be something anyway if he can get it, until then we keep looking...
In other thoughts, pregnancy is going good, I'm just past 37 weeks now. Had a doctor appointment this morning and am already dialated to a 3 and 80% effaced so hopefully everything will go smoothly these last few weeks for us. I don't see how I can get much bigger, I feel like a whale, literally like a pumpkin under my shirt. But it's close, so I'm just trying to prepare myself for our soon to be big change..
Zoey is doing great with her potty training and it's GREAT! She honestly goes to the bathroom like 100 times a day and will ask to go like 5 times if we are out anywhere with half the time if we talk to her she won't do anything, but at least she is going in the potty and not in a diaper.
Ella is growing up so fast. She is so silly, she has lately got this little forced laugh that she'll do and will get me and Jon going sometimes with her silliness. She can always make me happy on some of my roughest days.
We are doing a substitute paper route for a guy to get some money. So far we've done 10 days. It's a struggle on our already messed up schedule but it's money and temporary. Not sure for when the guy is coming back, I think sometime around the week of the 6th.. Idk. I've got a few things waiting to do with vinyl once I get another roll in, we are awaiting another color that I am hoping will match. I love to work with the vinyl just so indecisive on what to make!! If you haven't already I've got a blog attatched to this one kinda with some of the things I've done. I had thought a while back about all the people selling their cars so I got some white vinyl and made a few little cards/ads to stick around with cars for sale with the shoe polish painted look, but so far no one has called. I thought it was a good idea anyway..
We have our up and down days but all in all I am grateful for all the we do have. We have a wonderfully supportive network of family and friends that we would just be lost without. We are so lucky to live in the house that we do and that we have each other. There has been so much tragedy just in the area around us with accidents and multiple family members dying (car wreck killing mother/son, plane crash killing 10, two of which were father/daughter and father/son). I am so grateful to wake up everyday with Jon by my side and my two beautiful girls. I wouldn't know what to do without them or my family lives so close.
Anywho, pregnancy heartburn calls loudly for tums.... :) Ta ta for now

Eventful Softball Game..

Well Jon plays on a National Guard Softball team and tonight we had to leave early.. this is after about 2 hours of having ice on it so it looks probably 90% better than it did at the game. He took these self portraits with his phone. Jon says "at least we won both games!"

Horray!

Well I am not sure how it started this time because it feels we have never stopped trying, but Zoey seems to be well on her way to being potty trained!!!! She hasn't peed (or otherwise) in a diaper during the day in a whole week. I still put pull-ups on her when we leave the house just in case of accidents but she has been so great about going on her own and telling us if she needs help. I am so proud of her. I thought this would never be over and I was so worried about the soon to be big change and having THREE in diapers.. so now at least we are hopefully going to be down to only two. I've read not to push them until they are two so I'm holding off on Ella for now, just gotta get her to GO to sleep in her crib and that'll be two of my major 'try to do/need to do' before baby comes things checked off. So far right now Ella will fall asleep in my bed with me (and Jon when he's home) and then we will carry her to her crib which she sleeps all night. We dont do anything special to get Ella to fall asleep, so I just have to get her to go to sleep in her own bed... So anyway. Horray for Zoey!! She is getting so big I am so proud of her.

Wedding memories...

Well a friend of mine(Suzie!) had this in her blog and I thought it was cute, got me thinkin of my wedding so decided to fill it out too...Just thinking of it I attatched a photo from our wedding to go along with all the little details and stuff.. :)

1 -What month were you married in?May

2- How did he ask you? He never did really, we just kinda planned it.. Idk sounds stupid now..

3- Where did you Honeymoon? We didn't, maybe when we are like 50 we can take a vacation together if we make it that long and call it our honeymoon hehe

4- Can you still fit your dress? No! I was teeny then, I barely fit in it the day of the wedding i think haha. I've still got it though.

5- What was the worst gift you got? I don't like to say anything was the worst gift, we appreciate anyone even getting us anything!

6- What flavor was your wedding cake? White, I think? I only had the bite Jon fed me.

7- Where you a bridezilla? I dont think so, it was fun! I would love to plan weddings!

8- What is one thing you would change about your wedding?I would make our photographer take pics another day or something.. we didn't get to eat or really talk to any of our guests because we were always being pulled into pics. And I would want better more candid pics.. we have a ton of those me and so and so, then add one person, then one more.. so they all look about the same just with diff people in them. One of my favorite pictures wasn't even planned, just me and my dad talking and he came over and snapped a pic of us.

9- Do you still look at your wedding pictures? Yes, we both look so young and skinny! (me anywho..)

10- What colors did you use? Yellow were the dresses and things and spring colors/flowers

11- Where were you married? The Kentucky Horse Park

12- What's one funny thing that happened that day? The worms and bugs! Anyone that was there could probably remember the little fly type bugs stuck in my veil and dress (all 13 layers) and the weird catepillar worms that were everywhere that year. Oh, and to try to keep my flowers fresh looking we had put them in a cooler and they had touched the ice and like killed/browned half the roses.. so we had to adjust them in some pics to always have the ugly side towards me.. :P

13- How many showers did you have? none

14- Loss any friends over you r wedding? yes kinda, just a girl that I worked with didnt wanna be in the wedding because she wanted to spend time with her boyfriend that day.

15- Did you give any wedding favors? No.. Our wedding was kinda laid back casual I think.. We didn't have anything too fancy.

16- Who caught the flowers and garters? Don't really remember.. I think Jon's neice Devin caught the flowers..

17- Who was your officiant? Our good family friend 'Rev'. He is one of Jon's friends dad kinda.

18- How much was your dress undergarments and all? I honestly don't remember, I did buy the first dress I tried on though.. not that day but we looked and looked and ended up going back, I wanted the big fairytale looking bottom. And I wore just white flipflops hehe.

19- Was there dancing? No, we were in the middle of a field!

20- Where was the reception? We didn't have one.. kinda another thing I would change maybe.. but it was still good I think. Did the job anywho.. hehe

21- Would you go back and do it all again? Yea, there are a few things I would change but not much, i loved the simplicity of it but would have been more prepared and organized.

22- How long did you have to plan the wedding? Gosh i don't know! It wasn't that long anyway..

23- What kind of car were you in when you drove away? We had to stay and clean up after everyone left but Jon's mom let us drive her White Malibu home.. we were exhausted, his little brother followed in our car.

24- How many people in your wedding party? 8(4 for Jon and 4 on my side) plus Hali and Zeke

25- Did you do anything different in your wedding for reception? no...

26 - Did you save the to layer of your wedding cake for one year later? Yes but we moved and it thawed out and got yucky so we threw it away, never ate it.

27- If you saved it, did you eat it? see above!

28- How much was the grand total of your wedding? Not too sure - but everyone helped us out a lot! My mom helped me with the fruit/veggie trays the night before making and putting them together and bought us subway subs to have there at the wedding and then I think she helped pay off the last $100 on my dress too.. and my friend Tina's aunt made the cake for us but I don't remember how much she charged.. , Jon's brother-inlaw made us our wedding rings as a gift! I did the wedding invitations at a print shop for not too much..and thank you notes were just purchased, Suzie's mom (and suzie maybe.. I forget!) Made our ring pillow which turned out WAY cute just like I wanted(without the big lace and stuff.. simple yet cute!) We went to a hair school for the girls and my hair to save money but still be fancy, I got dresses borrowed from Tina's wedding and Trisha's wedding (we all had yellow hehe) Oh, and my mom helped me make my flowers and things for the guys and my boquet the night before too.. All in all it was stressful but fun, everyone helped us out a ton,I think it turned out nice!

32 Weeks!

Pregnancy has now hit week 32! Only 62 more days until my due date. I'm doing good just feeling HUGE. Zoey took this picture of us in the backyard the other day, she loves camera's and taking pictures and I had had the camera out trying to get some pics of them. She is really pretty good at taking pics when she tries, for a 3 year old anyway!

Indescribable...

A little update.... So this past week we had our 3rd Ultrasound (1st at 13 weeks, 2nd at 18 weeks, and then this 3rd at 26 weeks) And the last two the baby has been big enough anyway to suppose to be able to show what gender it is.. Weeeeelllllll.... We have a very modest baby. A baby that no matter what does not want us to know what it is!!! During our second ultrasound the baby had it's legs crossed and was comfortable this way and was not moving no matter how many times I rolled over, or went potty or we jiggled and prodded at it.. Well this time it had it's legs straight out and together... we could see and measure both legs fully extended but as the tech said "those legs are shut tighter than fort knox!".... Soooo... it's very unlikely that we will be able to get another Ultrasound, especially now that we just have medicaid insurance because of Jon being laid-off. Soo.. we might have one of the old days where we are in the delivery room and after hours of labor we get the delightful doctor saying "Congrats, it's a ___!". Anywho... I don't know what to think about it at the moment, and don't see how people can willingly do this to theirselves! I WANTED to know!!!!!! But in our case we have two girls and desperately wanting a boy to complete us... *sigh* anywho... The very next day was my 26th Birthday. Woohoo.. I'm getting older.... Then Saturday was all about packing and last minute things before Jon left early Sunday morning for the beginning of a long two weeks of Annual Training (AT) with the National Guard.. *sniff* We had a rough start to the weeks with Ella being fussy around 1am Sat night then began puking a half hour later which lasted most of the night/morning. She seems better now and so far is the only one of us that has been sick. Hopefully it stays that way.

Bummed...

Friday afternoon as Jon is in the Jeep about to leave his work for the day, his supervisor comes up and knocks on his window handing him an envelope.... Never really good news... Soo, like we were afraid of (because of the economy and rumors we had heard) Jon was one of the 5 that day to be laid-off. So here we are, thankful to have each other and a little bit of savings put away. We are one week away from him leaving for his summer AT(Annual Training with the National Guard) so it's a good and bad time for this... bad because we now have a week of no pay right before another stretch of weeks before another check, but good because we have our ultrasound this week (yay.. crossing our fingers the baby won't be so 'shy'..) and Zoey has a dentist appointment, and it can give us a little down time before AT. So, temporarily he is working out at the armory during the day and they will be able to pay him like he is making up a drill weekend or something, but it will be something at least. We have car payment, insurance due while he's gone and then rent due shortly after he returns (15th-29th he's gone) then although his AT check is the biggest one he gets from the Guard all year, it takes over a week for them to processs and get them actually to us... Soo.. we are utterly greatful for having an ever so small savings.
Just one thing we've been thinking about though, that doesn't seem quite fair... If an employee wants to quit a job they are required or requested to put in a 2 week notice so the employer can look for a replacement, etc.. Well..... if a company decides they are going to lay-off and employee no notice is required. Like us.. it was a normal Friday afternoon, heading home from a long day's work and they knock on our vehicle window... Here we are, not living the best within our means but working on it, two young children in diapers, and expecting our third.... Even a few days notice that this was going to happen would have been nice so he could have at least been putting applications in and getting something else set up for work. There aren't many decent places to work that you can just walk-on. There is a process that takes a while to get started working. So all this time that his employer knew they were going to be laying people off they couldn't have notified us of it? Now we have this lapse in paycheck and I am in a panic feeling of what we are going to do with nothing lined up we are praying to find a decent job, nothing we've seen so far will pay what he was making so we will be taking quite a paycut as well as the lapse in checks because of the time it is going to take to find a job... So we are going from 15 an hour with 40 hour weeks, to the Unemployment office telling us we can get 198 a week.... Sigh... Anywho... I knew the times were suppose to be getting harder, it's been in our counsel forever to 'Be Prepared', well Get Prepared People!! I don't anticipate it getting any easier on us... :(

I pray that my friends are well and doing better that we are at the moment. I have two hymns that have been circling thru my head lately, "Be thou Humble" and "Did you think to Pray". I wonder if the spirit was trying to tell me something...

"When life gets too hard to stand, Kneel.."

Just an update..

Well here we are... I am horrible at this whole blogging thing! I have a ton of thoughts always going thru my head and a ton of things that I could be keeping down with what the girls and I are up to but I never feel I have the time to sit long enough to write... So here we are.. tonight it is 10:23. I am getting ready to go to bed, it's been a long day.. Today I got our carpets cleaned in our house! I am so excited, it is something we have put off for far too long. I just hope we can maintain the way they look now. So the past few days have been nothing but me trying to clean house and get everything put away and things ready. Then doing a last minute walk thru picking up things and beginning to vacuum an hour before my appointment and I get thru my office(3rd bedroom) and the girls room and then maybe a 1/3 down the hallway and our vacuum decides to just shut off.. it's done. I am a big exhausted at this point with this new bulging belly and tired from cleaning and lifting and moving things around AND trying to chase around a 13 month old and 3 year old from getting out all the toys that I just put away and keeping food and things in the kitchen, etc.. ( a never ending battle to keep up with the tornado's that I feel are always in my house with these two..) I give up.. I am just done cleaning! So I go and make the girls some macncheese and wait for them to show up, I would just apoligize and assuming this is their day to day job they have probably seen worse than just a few muffin crumbs and etc on the floor. So, he arrives to clean the carpets about 5 minutes after I notice it looking a bit cloudy outside.. He had told me it would dry faster if we had windows open and stuff.. so I start opening windows and within 2 minutes it is a HUGE windstorm and so the wind is slamming doors and whipping insanely thru the house.. I live in the middle of the desert and the day i decide to open windows and have our carpets cleaned we get a storm.. Figures... Anyway.. we got it done and I had a dr appointment directly after anyway so it all worked out, we just ate out for dinner and did some walking at the strip mall here.. All is good now that it's over. But a well needed bedtime is calling me after a very long day!

April 19th...

Well sitting down today I figured I would write a bit, I'm not very good at getting everything out that is going on, so when I catch up it can go back for weeks.. Soo... April 13th was Ella's first birthday, I cannot believe it! She even looks bigger to me, which could be because in the same week she just took off walking, and now is walking almost everywhere. Jon calls her a little pinguin, cuz she still has the 'wobble' look. It's so adorable. We bought her a 'Curious George' cake that said "Ella, Happy Birthday Little Monkey" It was way cute. She is indeed my little monkey, always climbing and getting into everything. I don't remember Zoey ever being like this as a child but Ella sure is. I took some pics of her birthday and if I can figure out how to load them from our new camera to the computer then I will try to then figure out how to post them on here too (hehe). Life other than that is about the same, it is starting to warm up here and feeling more like spring-summer. Today it is nice and sunny but sooo windy. Jon is doing good in his softball league but lost their first of 5 games this past tuesday, it was again super windy that night and it took it's effect on the team, they lost only 13/14.
On another thought, today I cried... I was vacuuming the house and both girls were in the living room, after vacuuming in there I headed down the hall and into the office. When finished I went back in the living room to sit for a break(being pregnant makes me breathless easy). Anywho.. we have a little storage space in our recliner and the girls had gotten into it, and there were scissors in there (I know.. my fault right here.. 2 days ago we made fruit loop necklaces and I had cut the yarn in the chair and threw them in there before heading outside) Well needless to say, Zoey got ahold of those scissors in the 3-4 minutes that it took me to finish the hallway and office, and cut a chunk off of Ella's hair, I couldn't find it at first because her hair is growing wild anyway, but it is kinda on the back by the crown on the right. Just one little chunk of hair, but I cried and cried. It could have been much worse, from them getting hurt with the scissors or Zoey cutting her own hair, which is mid-back on her, long and straight. Poor Ella is still very baby looking with shorter thin hair. It made me very sad, but I'm grateful that they were watched over and it didn't get any worse than that. I am going to find a much better spot for those scissors and pray that we continue to be watched over because I desperately need a second set of eyes on these two crazy monkies.

Here we are!

Well, here we are! The current stats with us... Ella will be ONE on Sunday (April 13th) I cannot believe how fast she is growing up. She has been trying to walk a bit for a few months now but is really starting to try get her way around the house by walking, crawling is still faster for her and if she's in a hurry or falls while walking that's what she'll do. I love to see her trying, this morning she was all over the living room and she would fall and laugh and get right back up and try again. I just LOVE to see her smile, it warms my heart..
Zoey, is three. She is in a "fun" age right now where she is very tempermental. I don't know what to do exactly and am hoping to find the right thing for us to break this behavior before we have this new baby. I've started recording Nanny 911 and have got the supernanny book from the Library to read. It is all so overwhelming right now. I wish there were an easy fix but from reading the book it looks as if I have a LONG road ahead of me.. She bit ella for the first time last night. It was so sad, I thought we had made it thru one stage without it happening to us, I thought children bit at a younger stage and was glad it had blew over, but she has just been 'out of control' lately with her behavior. I need supernanny to come and tell me what to do but I'm embarrassed that it has gotten to this point (and I don't want to be filmed ever either.. I would HATE that..). She still has some good moments where she'll play nice and be our little girl again, but it just feels as of lately they are few and far between. I want my little girl back.. I want this monster to leave.
Then, as stated above, we are expecting our third, I'm just over 17 weeks pregnant now and due mid September. We have our ultrasound on the 23rd to hopefully find out what it is. I am hoping (as is Jon) for this to be our little boy. I fear that I would be disappointed if it were another girl but I'm just worried about our future and Jon wants a boy so badly. We are just crossing our fingers until we find out, but in the end will be happy either way, because it is a new addition to our family! We will no longer just be the 'Washburn Quad' like we've been saying but instead be larger! We took having 3 in carseats into consideration, and against what I wanted but logic took over, we bought our first minivan... I still feel a bit like mid-life crisis when thinking about it, but Zoey loves the van and it isn't that bad, just thinking I'm 25 and driving a minivan.. Many of my friends laughed when I told them, but it'd be tough to fit 3 carseats side by side in the back of our Jeep. It's nice to have the two cars because of doctors appointments and things so I don't have to get up super early to take Jon to work and worry about that hassle. Although I've only driven it I think twice, it isn't as bad as I had once imagined.
I was taking classes online but have decided to take a break for now with the new baby coming, the new Zoey, and the new thought of being a mother to three! So, 5 classes in I am now not enrolled any longer. I had started school just to have the degree, and since I wouldn't be using it right away, if ever, I decided I need my life back for the moment without the constant worry of homework or falling behind, and can focus more on things that are more important to me. Jon is still working with Wilkinson's Electric. He seems to be doing really well, although the last few weeks he has came home with a few 'boo-boo's' (he almost fell off of a ladder and scraped under his arm pretty well, yesterday he poked his eye somehow and has a big mark on his eyelid, he got a 120V shock the other day...) But just makes him look "tough" hahaha... He also coaches my little brother's soccer team, and plays softball. His softball team is doing really well winning all 4 of their games thus far. He seems to like it (with the added boo-boo's of that too his knee has a big scrub that's keeps getting yuckier and bigger with every game...It probably won't heal until after the season) But all in all he seems pretty happy with it. It keeps him busy with our only night off during the week being Friday, but I think he likes the buzz of always going.
Well that is a bit of the current going-on's with us.
